Excellent hotel, with modern facilities and the perfect city centre location, a two minute walk to the Grote Markt, with its great restaurants, In Flanders Fields Museum and the Menin Gate - and right across the street from the superb Old Bill pub, which seems to stay open as long as you're still awake.

Battlefield visits:

First day - In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres, Menin Gate, Ramparts of Ypres, Hooge, Yorkshire Trench, Langemarck, Tyne Cot, Frezenberg Scottish Memorial and mining at Hill 60.

Second day - Passchendaele Museum, Zonnebeke, Messines Ridge - mine craters at St. Eloi and Spanbroekmoelen; Bayernwald, the Christmas Truce at Ploegsteert, Kemmel Hill overlooking Flanders.
