Hotel: Golden Tulip Arnhem Velp

Again, an out of town motel-style place, but with very nice facilities and picturesque garden. Taxi into Arnhem is reasonable, but the city centre itself was a pretty quiet place, very little nightlife and many of the pubs were closing early. Poor show!

Battlefield visits:

First day - British landing grounds at Ginkel Heath, Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem Bridge.

Second day - Hartenstein Hotel, HQ of the 1st Airborne Division during the battle -  now a museum, memorial at Wolfheze, Oosterbeek Perimeter.
